The construction of New York skyscrapers is supposed to use the most advanced technologies. And very soon for the construction of residential buildings in Armenia will be applied the same technologies. The concrete which is the base for these buildings was invented several thousand years before Christ.  The different types of concrete were used in ancient Egypt, China, Babylon, and in the Roman Empire. After the fall of the Rome, the recipe of this important construction material was lost for many centuries. Concrete, which we use today, was invented in 1844. And only in the beginning of the XXI century, the outstanding American builder Simon Hodson has developed a new technology for concrete production, which soon promises a revolution in the field of construction. Actually, it has already begun: in the U.S., Hong Kong and Saudi Arabia this new type of concrete is successfully introduced. The next in the list is Armenia. In 2010 in Yerevan the first residential building will be put into operation (architect Samvel Gyulnazaryan) using the technology of Hodson.

 By the way, «Anashin» company in the village Balahovit, Kotayk region (Republic of Armenia) started the production of new concrete B-45 and B-60. Using the same ingredients makes possible to obtain a material which is several times stronger than the standard material, which means a 35% reduced expenditure of concrete and metal, so this is the specificity of a new type of concrete. By reducing the size of structures the effective area of the building increases. Another feature is that the concrete of Hodson can 'mimic' almost any material, be it stone or wood. In short, the new concrete of Simon Hodson corresponds  simultaneously to the three main conditions that are necessary for modern urban planning - ecological compatibility, efficiency and speed.
